Ein Ballonwettbewerb ist voller Herausforderungen und eine großartige Möglichkeit, die Landschaft zu betrachten und in fremden Ländern Orte zu entdecken, die die meisten Menschen nie sehen. / I find competition in ballooning very challenging. It is a great way of seeing the countryside and seeing a part of a different country that most people don't visit.
Wie hast Du angefangen? / How did you start ballooning?
Nach einer Ballonfahrt am 21.11.1983 (Montgolfier-Tag) gab es kein Zurück mehr. / The University I was, had a hot air balloon club and after one flight (on 21st of November 1983) I was hooked.

Eine Nachtlandung nach einer Dauer-Rekordfahrt (19 h). Ein Ballonstart aus dem Motorsportkurs "Twin Ring" in Motegi, Japan. Ballonfahrten im Wadi Rum, Jordanien und in Kapadokien, Türkei. / Flying for over 19 hours solo, then landing in the dark while setting recent duration record.
