The official map of the European Championship has been released.

The download will be a zip-file of 12.7 MB. After unzipping you will find:

1. JPG (Europeans2007.jpg): the picture of the map
2. MAP (Europeans2007.map): the OziExplorer calibration file
3. IMP (Europeans2007.imp): the Compegps calibration file

1. The mapping datum will be WGS 84.
2. We have not decided yet if we publish a common goal-list.
3. The PZ's will be published before the general briefing, but it will be very few only. Until today we have only 2 (two!) sensitive points around. One is because of horses and the second one is an antenna with 530 ft GND.
4. We will make up our mind concerning the 2 highways limiting the risk of car accidents because of balloons.

The official map is finished and printed. You will get your paper-copy during check-in.

The electronic version is being finalized over the weekend and should be downloadable until July 27th. Please note that the map will be made available in the login-area because of copyright-reasons. We will e-mail the access-details to you shortly.

If you want to prepare other maps or just have a look, these are the legal boundaries of the competition area. It is not the size of the competition area as in the printed/electronic version.
