Was liebst Du am Ballonfahren / Why do you like ballooning?
Es ist eine große Befriedigung, in der Luft zu schweben, den Brenner zu hören und die Landschaft zu geniessen. / I love flying on the balloon, since I feel a special satisfaction when I see myself hanging in the air, alone with the noise of the burner enjoying the country side
Wie hast Du angefangen? / How did you start ballooning?
Vor 20 Jahren habe ich Ballons im Fernsehen gesehen und ich mochte sie. Ich habe Kontakt mit Ultramagic aufgenommen. Auf einem Festival kaufte ich an Ort und Stelle meinen Ballon. Danach habe ich die Pilotenlizenz erworben und heute bin ich professioneller Pilot. / 20 years ago, I had only seen balloons on television, and I liked them. So I got in touch with Ultramagic, which I met at a festival; it thrilled me so much, that I bought a balloon right there. After that, I got the pilot licence. Nowadays, I am a professional pilot.
Die eindrucksvollsten Erlebnisse? / Your most impressive Experiences:
Eines der interessantesten Erlebnisse war eine Fahrt über die Pyrenäen, aber auch eine Fahrt in der Wüste von Marokko. / Probably, one of the most interesting experiences I have ever had flying on balloon, has been flying of the central area of the Pyrinees, and that what also appealed me a lot was being able to fly over the dessert in Morocco.
